For my father's birthday this year my mother and I decided to give him tickets to a Green Bay Packers game. Now this sounds all well and good til you realize that we live in Kansas and the game is in Wisconsin. That is a 15 hour drive in good traffic. So we started on our treck to the game and thankfully had thought ahead to break up the trip there into two days. The trip up there was relaxing and enjoyable. We decided since the game didn't start until 7:00 that night that we would go north to Sturgeon Bay, WI and see the bay. The bay was beautiful and had good weather with the temp around 70 degrees by the water. We ate lunch at an Applebees that was in a unique indoor/outdoor resturant.
We had such a good time and the game was awesome. The Packers won 17 to 0!
However, on the way back we had decided to do the whole trip in one day. Let me tell you 15 hours in a car is not fun. I don't think I have ever been more ready to be home. Which is interesting because we are going to Quilt Expo in Madison, WI in a couple of weeks! Thankfully though that ride is several hours shorter and we will have two days to travel both going there and coming back. So if your in the Madison area check out our booth at Quilt Expo.
