Fall Quilt Market: Houston, Texas

Quilt Market Booth: Fall 2012 Houston, Texas

RJR Fabrics Booth: Fall 2012 Houston, Texas

I wanted to share a picture of my booth at Fall Market in Houston. The second picture is the Broadstreet quilt that was hanging in RJR's booth. My first fabric line "HAVERSACK" was very well received. It will be available in at least 8 other countries as well as the US.  HAVERSACK will ship in January so check with your local shop. You can see the collection on my website at www.makingalegacy.com or at www.rjrfabrics.com. This was my 16th year to be in Houston for market. It is amazing to see how everything has changed. When I first started going to market, very few contest quilts were machine quilted. I have to admit I prefer to hand quilt but the reality for most of us is TIME. I started a handquilted yellow wholecloth baby quilt several years ago and forgot about it. My goal is to put it next to the sofa to remind me to work on it and hope to finish it this year. I really do enjoy the hand work.

I just reviewed my 2nd fabric line and am sending it off to RJR today. The name of it is "Briarcliff". It will be ready for the shops to order in Portland at Spring Market in May.
